Bible Design and Binding

Some of you may know about this blog, but I just stumbled across it.  The blog is Bible Design and Binding.  The author is J. Mark Bertrand who wrote Rethinking Worldview: Learning to Think, Live, and Speak in This World.  Mark provides Bible reviews, information on forthcoming editions, and all sorts of other interesting bits of knowledge regarding Bibles.

We must always remember that the message is much more important than the design and binding. Still, design and binding do make a difference. A poor font may have hampered the acceptance of the HCSB. The pocket New Testament came out with a beautiful font, but most of the other editions have a font that is too thin. It probably saves on the cost of ink, but it isn’t as readable as it should be for its size.
