Quote of the Week

In observing many blogs a lot of people post weekly photos, prayers of the month, or something unique to their blog that is done on a somewhat consistent basis.  I thought I would do the same.  Each week (or at least as much as I can) I will post a quote from a book pertaining to Biblical Theology.  I hope it is insightful and encourages others to read the books I quote from (if you haven’t already).

Andrew Jukes comments on why typology is often neglected by Christians.

They require more spiritual intelligence than many Christians can bring to them.  To apprehend them requires a certain measure of spiritual capacity and habitual exercise in the things of God, which all do not possess…types are indeed pictures, but to understand the picture it is necessary we should know something of the reality…the real secret of our difficulty is that we know so little, and what is worse, we do not know our ignorance. (Andrew Jukes, The Law of Offerings, 14-15)
